Auburn Hills, Michigan, June 6, 2019 – BorgWarner’s presence at ReMaTec, the leading international trade fair for remanufacturing, which is to be held in Amsterdam from June 23 to 25, 2019, is more than just a showcase of the company’s exceptional range of REMAN turbochargers and exhaust gas management products. It is also an affirmation of the company’s long-standing global commitment to protecting and conserving natural resources. During the 27 years in which the company has been remanufacturing turbochargers, 14,300 tons of cast iron and 3,700 tons of aluminum have been saved by reusing 4.7 million turbine, bearing and compressor housings. Over two million turbochargers around the world have been revitalized through the BorgWarner REMAN program, with currently approximately 800 products covering 5,000 different commercial vehicle and passenger car applications.
“We are proud to supply our customers with REMAN technologies, and at ReMaTec we will be showing some of our latest and most advanced products that enable used vehicles to maintain the highest standards of fuel economy and emissions reduction,” said Michael Boe, Vice President and General Manager, Global Aftermarket, BorgWarner Turbo Systems. “By returning well-used, damaged or worn-out products to their original condition, we are saving resources, supporting sustainability and pursuing our vision of a clean and energy-efficient world.”
At ReMaTec 2019, BorgWarner will be displaying some of the REMAN products for passenger cars and commercial vehicles at hall 8, booth 224. Products featured include variable turbine geometry (VTG), wastegate and regulated two-stage (R2S®) turbochargers as well as electrically and pneumatically actuated exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves. In addition, in recent months our team has focused on the development of mounting kits for the turbo REMAN product portfolio.
These as well as all other BorgWarner REMAN products are restored to their original factory condition in a network of dedicated facilities in North America, Mexico, Brazil, Europe and China in order to deliver the same superior performance and reliability as new OEM products. Because of this wide network, remanufactured turbochargers and EGR valves can be delivered to almost anywhere in the world within 24 hours. Technician training and equipment are the same as those used in the manufacturing of OE systems.
