In fact, while our plant in Ningo, China, has been producing turbos for the independent aftermarket for 13 years, it’s been part of BorgWarner’s worldwide OE manufacturing infrastructure since 2006. That means, high-quality production and testing standards have long been standard operating procedures at that facility.

As we begin to offer more aftermarket turbos from our plant in Ningbo, China, we want you to be assured that when you see a BorgWarner turbo with “Made in China” on it, it’s from this renowned plant that:

• Is certified by IATF and ISO/TS 16949:2009
• Puts every product through BorgWarner’s rigorous testing and examination
• Every BorgWarner product manufactured in Ningbo is certified and validated to our already industry-high standards. That means you’re guaranteed the same level of quality that you’d receive from any other BorgWarner plant.
• While some companies produce knock-off BorgWarner products, there is nothing knock-off about the Ningbo plant’s operations. You can confirm it’s a genuine BorgWarner turbo when you receive it in BorgWarner branded packaging and identification markings.

About our BorgWarner Plant in Ningbo, China

• Over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space
• Features complex assembly lines, test stands and component level manufacturing
• Produces advanced turbocharging technologies and emissions products, such as exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems and secondary air pumps
• Local testing capabilities which include a prototype shop, five turbo test stands and two engine dynamometers.
