SX-R Series: Big Power, Smaller Package

The newest turbo in BorgWarner’s AirWerks® series is proving that bigger isn’t always better.

The S200 and S300 SX-R series super-cores for performance applications—released late last year—are
the latest evolution of these performance racing units. Engineered with innovation and ingenuity, the
SX-R packs a lot of power into a smaller unit.

“SX-R offers improved aerodynamics thanks to a new compressor wheel architecture that improves
aerodynamics, flow, power and efficiency across the map width—all without compromising spool-up,”
explains Seth Temple, Application Engineer.

John Vincent, Sales Manager for the Performance Program, agrees: “In this case, smaller is better! This
journal-bearing turbo makes great power with a near-instant response—there is little to no turbo lag.”
With improved aerodynamics, the SX-R is an improvement over the SX-E and evidence of BorgWarner’s
