In this position you will be responsible as eCAD Hardware Designer for the layout of our e-products under Power Electronics department. You will solve and coordinate all necessary technical issues during the design of the layout of the PCBA together with the HWDE. You will work in a global technical center who will support projects and divisions all over the world. Direct contact with our plants, the customer and suppliers. Electrical vehicle environment.
You will also be responsible for the supplier monitoring during the PCBA development as part of the component change management process, leading the discussion with the suppliers and being responsible of HMI implementation.
Software, Hardware, Integration and Mechanical Design departments work and interact very often in a global environment.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the PCB design to achieve hardware deliveries that meet the input requirements and program expectations and other prerequisites for automotive e-products.​
  • Work with production to ensure design for manufacturing.
  • Components list alternative management.
  • Support meetings internally ,  with customers  and with key suppliers, especially with our EMSs.
  • PCB Layout development, follow up and test first PCB prototypes working with software developers.
  • Support schematics for new projects given the dimensions and taken the specifications from the customer.
  • Analog simulations: Thermal, Power, Signal
  • Support Design Validation testing and support the plant in Process Validation.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives and second sources/shortages/End of life validations.
  • Functional Safety
  • ASPICE – V-HW model
  • Second source validation support
    • Evaluate alternatives for components identified as Shortage or End of Life

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, similar or compatible experience.
  • Design of high voltage products (450V to 1200V).
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium/Mentor Graphics  (Layout: 4-6 layers routing /  Schematics). At least 4 years
  • Knowledge and experience with Thermal simulation.
  • Knowledge of EMC requirements, testing and compliance. 
  • Experience of PCB design, Analog and Digital circuitry.
  • Experience working with suppliers of electronics components.
  • Fluent communication skills in English.

Also Valuable

  • Experience in Hardware Development and power electronics.
  • Experience in automotive environment.
  • Experience of creepage and clearance specifications for high voltage design IEC 60664
  • Experience in ASIC design (working with supplier) and validation.
  • Experience in production-oriented design.
  • Experience working with CAN and LIN communication interface.
  • Knowledge of Robustness Validation of Automotive Electrical/Electronic Modules
  • Simulation tools, like LTspice.
  • Knowledge and experience of IATF 16949 compliance.
  • ISO 26262.
  • ASPICE.
