The Engineering Systems IT Analyst will provide technical guidance in the areas of EE & SW, PLM, CAD (Mechanical and Electrical), CAE, and other engineering applications deployment. He / She will collaborate with product engineering groups to establish and implement technical, process, and infrastructure requirements, monitor progress, and address issues and risks. The Engineering Systems IT Analyst will lead local projects in our complex PLM environment and manage all local engineering systems costs.

This person will be responsible for supporting overall Engineering systems for Korea and support our BorgWarner strategy, implementation and maintenance of Engineering systems. This position will be an IT analyst for providing hands-on support for overall BorgWarner systems with business engineering teams and will work to implement, upgrade, and maintain for Engineering and needs to understand overall IT infrastructure concepts to help communicate requirements to our IT infrastructure support team.

The successful candidate needs to be able to work independently, communicate for business requirements, develop and configure in the toolsets deployed, perform functional testing to confirm functionality and work with engineers to approve all changes before moving changes to the production environment. The person in this role will work towards continuous improvement in processes and end-user skill levels, diligently pursue enhancements to ensure the systems are being used properly and fully to meet the business needs. This person must monitor these solutions for issues/errors and assist in the notification and resolution of the issues.

  • Administration and support of a PLM System (Teamcenter experience required)
  • Administration and support of multi-CAD systems such as but not limited to Creo, CATIA V5, NX, Mentor Graphics, Altium designer in a Windows environment (experience with other MCAD/ECAD tool is plus)
  • Work with our Electric, Electronic & Software Teams and support the implementation and standardized of our new Electrical Design Framework
  • Administration and support of CAE applications in a LINUX HPC & Windows workstation environment
  • Project Management
  • Cost Cell responsibility
  • Expertise with Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) concepts
  • A solid understanding of R&D Design and Release processes
  • Define and continuously develop the CAE and PLM architecture ensuring alignment with the overall IT Strategy and Business Objectives
  • Facilitate testing - create test cases, complete system/integration testing, facilitate user acceptance testing.
  • Stay current with technology and determining the impact of hardware and/or software upgrades on new and existing applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction on assigned projects.
  • Understand IT processes and work within designated guidelines.
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to details.
