BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven person to join as Material Planner at our Manufacturing Plant in Izmir.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract weekly material availability list (MAL)
  • Detect and prioritize shortage risks                     
  • Weekly scheduling agreement release (SAR) and follow-up dispatch from suppliers (N/A for prototype products)                                             
  • Subcontracting flow organization
  • Follow up material availability of subcomponents and their transfers
  • Guide Import/Export Specialist throughout the relevant material transfers and goods receipts                   
  • Update material arrivals in contact with suppliers (including spot PO)             
  • Guide in prioritization of import operations, initiate premium shipment authorization form (PSAF) in necessary cases                                             
  • Detect manual PR generation necessity cases
  • Guide Stock Management Specialist in PR creation
  • Lead necessary actions to ensure SAR generation (or MRP generated PR in case of prototype production)                           
  • Follow-up raw material and semifinished stock range of coverage (RoC), lead necessary actions
  • Initiate spot counting activities regarding discrepancies in RoC or MAL reports                               
  • Solve goods receipt (GR) unavailability cases by guiding sourcing team, consulting tech team via tools like ServiceNow                                           
  • Support and Back-up Stock Management Specialist in customer returnable packaging material follow-up, monthly update of customer portal (BMW-CMS)                                             
  • Maintain re-order points for packaging materials that are used both as direct and consumables
  • Guide Stock Management Specialist in material follow-up in case of exceptional cases                        
  • Support production planner during material availability checks for machine and quality improvements                                 
  • Update learning site for new implementations in SAP, workflow, operator trainings regarding her/his responsibility area                        

Education & Experiences

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
  • Managing and giving financial value to warehouse stock
  • Good knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge is beneficial
  • Fluent English and Turkish language (min. B2)
