Job purpose

The Senior Software Integrator Engineer is responsible to integrate software units hierarchically into Software Components until the complete Software is integrated as defined in the Project Development Plan and Product Management Plan, ensuring consistency with the software architecture.
 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive integration plan/pipeline to outline the sequence of integration steps, dependencies to ensure minimal merge conflicts and establish a roadmap for bringing all the software solutions together for a release.
  • Works closely with the SW team to ensure components are developed in accordance with SW integration strategy.
  • Owns the development branch. Creates the release branches and responsible for bringing the changes from development branch to release branch and performs integration to master branch when ready.
  • Collaborate with the Software Development Lead and other project leadership to ensure that internal and external software deliveries meet project milestones.
  • Support and guide Software Developer Engineers to resolve merge conflicts.
  • Use AUTOSAR tools to regenerate code after integration where and when necessary.
  • Perform CPU utilization tests (if requested) for identifying the CPU runtime/ RAM/ ROM consumptions and their corresponding trends across releases. Create defect tickets and inform the stakeholders when necessary.
  • Participate in code reviewing process to be aware of code changes in case of any integration conflicts.
  • Run the Smoke/ Sanity / Motor Control tests on the appropriate test bench (LV SW bench/ Motorsim bench) for sanity check before delivering it to Integration Regression Testing. Create, maintain, improve Smoke/ Sanity/ motor control tests based on the content of the release.
  • Investigates, debugs and troubleshoots any issues that might occur during or/and after SW integration and work that with the module owner for bringing the issue to resolution.
  • Establish/maintain Integration configuration process documentation to ensure the project execution discipline.
  • Identify/implement methods/scripts to enhance the integration process.

What we’re looking for

  • B.S. in Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Engineering. At least 5 years of experience with software
  • At least 5 years of experience with software
  • Previous experience in software engineering within one of the following areas: microcontroller programming, low level software development for real time embedded systems
  • Good understanding of embedded systems, good knowledge of C languages and AUTOSAR
  • Previous experience as SW build manager, SW integrator or SW/SYS tester is a plus.
  • Experience of working within a standardised software development process environment, preferably ASPICE.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Fluency in English is required.
