BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for 2 “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Intern at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Project 1

In this project you will have the opportunity to participate in a project to solidify the processes already implemented, collaborating directly with two teams – Vendor Planners and Transport – in what are the setup and maintenance/processing of data on the one hand and, critical analysis of inventory and logistics costs on the other. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Vendors setup process in the system, as well as data maintenance;
  • Participate in the process of creating Master Material in SAP;
  • Collaborate in the management of packaging items;
  • Analyse data and logistics costs;
  • Collaborate with the transport team and study the best transport solutions according to origin/destination and nature of the cargo;
  • Validate transport invoices.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Higher education in Industrial Engineering, Management, Logistics or Finance
  • Medium/Advanced Excel, Visual Basic
  • Lean knowledge, 5S and quality tools
  • Knowledge of English
  • Good communicative skills
  • Ability to work in a team

Project 2

In this project you will have the opportunity to participate in a project to solidify the processes already implemented, collaborating directly with two teams - Production Planners and Customer Planners - in what are the setup and maintenance of data in the ERP system and the support to the rest of the Team in day-to-day activities and responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Participate in the definition of the factory's production plan and monitor the definition of the planning process for new projects;
  • Monitor the production process of prototype parts in support of the Production Plan;
  • Support the customer's Logistics complaints;
  • Work directly with the warehouse in the shipping process to the customer.

Education and/or Experience :

  • Higher education in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Management or International Relations
  • Medium/Advanced Excel, Visual Basic
  • Lean knowledge, 5S and quality tools
  • Knowledge of English
  • Good communicative skills
  • Ability to work in a team
