Two technical events in September 2023

On September 8, 2023, two events took place in Krakow in which representatives of our site took part. The first of them were workshops organized as part of the five-day International Symposium and Exhibition on Electromagnetic Compatibility. Four representatives of our hardware team participated in a series of lectures on broadly understood electromagnetic compatibility. The scope of topics ranged from presentations by companies offering solutions supporting the design process in terms of EMC, through engineering presentations of solutions used in specific projects and progress in industry research, to practical workshops aimed at exchanging experiences gained while working with electromagnetic compatibility issues.

The most interesting part of the program, from the point of view of the engineers from our site participating in the event, was the workshop entitled "How to route signals on PCB? High-frequency content in digital and analog signals. SI and EMC for hardware designers (PCB layout)” led by a designer and researcher with many years of experience in the field of EMC design. During the speech, the presenter provided many valuable comments on the selection of components and electronic solutions, as well as good practices in the process of designing PCBs that allow for improving the electromagnetic properties of the designed device. Considering the importance of EMC issues in the automotive industry, the obtained information will certainly prove helpful during the implementation of our projects.

The second event was the Technical Discussions organized by the Krakow branch of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers - a cyclical meeting of engineers from the electronics and electrotechnical industries aimed at exchanging experiences and integrating the industry environment. Two representatives of our company listened to the speech of a representative of the Road Administration of the City of Krakow on the operation of the tram infrastructure in Krakow and the expected directions of development. Then, a researcher from the AGH University of Science and Technology dealing with the Hyperloop development project in Poland delivered his lecture. The possibilities and proposed stages of implementation of technology that could revolutionize the railway market have been identified. Our representatives took an active part in discussions on the presented content, thus marking their participation in the Krakow community of electrical engineers.

Both events were an opportunity to expand the competences and horizons of our team, as well as once again mark our presence in the industry environment. These are certainly not the last situations of this type and in the near future our team will replace the role of listener with the presenter, which we will talk about in one of the next reports. Stay in touch!
