Auburn Hills, Michigan, February 5, 2018 – As a global leader in clean and efficient technology solutions for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles, BorgWarner presents its broad product portfolio at the 14th Auto Expo in New Delhi from February 8 to 11, 2018. At booth 73 in hall 11, the company will show solutions that help automakers master the challenges posed by ever stricter emission standards. Accordingly, for combustion engines, BorgWarner will focus on technologies that help optimize engine efficiency and performance while reducing emissions, and will also present a broad range of solutions for hybrid and pure electric vehicles.
“At BorgWarner, we constantly work on providing solutions that help all vehicles meet stringent emission standards like BS VI while still improving performance and fuel efficiency,” said Scott Gallett, Vice President, Marketing, Public Relations and Government Affairs, BorgWarner. “The Auto Expo 2018 is an ideal platform for showcasing our extensive range of products for clean and efficient vehicles of the future no matter which propulsion system is used.”
Following current trends, BorgWarner’s exhibits will include highly efficient solutions for combustion engines like the company’s CTA phasers with mid-position lock technology. This advanced variable cam timing technology enables optimized valve timing control over a broad range of engine speeds. In addition, the company will showcase its mild hybridization expertise with the eBooster® electrically driven compressor and 48V eFan. For hybrids and pure electric vehicles, the company will show its latest innovations, including silent chains for P3-type hybrids, low pressure exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) modules, a high-voltage air heater operating independently of engine waste heat and the electric Drive Module (eDM). This all-in-one electric propulsion solution combines BorgWarner’s tried-and-tested eGearDrive® transmission and the high voltage hairpin (HVH) electric motor in a single module for simple installation.
BorgWarner has also developed a wide range of solutions to support commercial vehicle manufacturers in meeting current and future emissions regulations. For instance, the company’s series of modular compact floating core EGR coolers for a wide range of commercial vehicle applications offer high robustness against thermal fatigue and enhanced coolant distribution for durable performance, even at a minimum coolant flow, and they reduce NOx emissions too. Another technology shown at the Auto Expo India is the latest generation of the electronically actuated Visctronic® fan drive for commercial vehicles. Combining the robust, modular design of its predecessor with an improved internal control system and a new proprietary slip heat enhancement feature, this high-performance fan drive is able to operate under high loads and in tough environments.
BorgWarner presents state-of-the-art solutions for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles that help automakers meet increasingly stringent emission standards at this year’s Auto Expo in New Delhi, India.
